444 - Access

Namaste!

Welcome back to 444. I’m Max. I'm a travelling photographer from Australia. 444 is my monthly recap. 444 is my monthly recap collecting recent thoughts and conversations. I hope you leave reading this with some encouragement to act with your heart.

This will land into your email at 4:44 from wherever I am in the world on the fourth of every month by signing up here. Each month you will find something 4 me, 4 you, and 4 us.

Today, I'm writing to you from Dharamkot, India. I'm shaking off the jet lag from South America by eating my weight in food. I’m learning to eat more with my hands. It makes my fingers carry the smell of the spices from the daily dosa. I'm excited for all the flavours of this South Asia patch.

4 us - yoga notes

Changing the order again this month with a quote from yoga training that's sticking to me.

'Whatever comes up is for us to be free of it.' - The Bridge

Patterns are rising to the surface. I'm starting to see them differently. Meet them instead of avoid them. Understand what they're trying to say. Learn how to liberate myself from it.

4 me - accessing within

I battle expressing self-confidence. It comes briefly. Vanishes as I realise it.

In areas of comfort the conditions for confidence exist. Drinking. Festivals. Travelling. Social circles. I'll credit its presence to something. Attach to it thinking it's the key rather than believe it's me.

These experiences can be helpful to reveal layers within. I'm trying to take my reliance away from them. Empower myself to access confidence at any point even in new, unfamiliar spaces.

Progress report: It's hard.

4 you - questions

Maybe there is another feeling you're trying to access. To connect with it through your own volition whenever you want.

Some questions I'm dwelling over this month:

  • Is there a feeling I want to express at any point?

  • What situation makes it easier for the feeling to come out?

  • What's standing in the way of accessing this freely? How can I let it go?

I appreciate you for taking the time to read the latest 444.

If you know someone that might like it, I'd be grateful if you forward this to a friend. They can subscribe here.
